Wooden handrails and cap rails are the finishing and unifying detail of any elegant wooden railing – whether you're building a traditional fence with gingerbread trim or a modern-style deck. Here you'll find handrails that fit both our simple railing pickets and our solid pine profiles for historic restoration.
A handrail serves not only as a visual finish, but also as structural reinforcement and a comfortable grip – especially on stair railings or raised porches and decks. Many of our models are based on original designs from the 19th and early 20th centuries and pair beautifully with our balusters, wooden posts, and post caps.
You can choose a traditionally styled handrail with cutouts or a rounded top, or go for a simple, smooth version for a more minimalist look. All of our handrails are made from wood that is suitable for outdoor use and can be painted or treated as needed.
